Mitchell Report aftermath
by jj137
The Mitchell Report was released December 13. New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte admitted on December 15 to using human growth hormone (HGH) to help recover from an injury.
On December 18, former 13-year Red Sox pitcher Roger Clemens, another player named in the report, denied through his agent using steroids, HGH, or any banned substance in his life. Another former Red Sox pitcher, Mike Stanton (who now plays for the Cincinnati Reds) completely denied ever using any sort of illegal substance.
Baltimore Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts admitted to once using steroids in 2003. He said it was a "terrible decision, and would never do so again".
