Description
editSince there's seemingly a lot of Aqua and related articles that would need a lot of more work to get up to GA or FA status, this Wikiproject will be an effort to improve coverage of the famous danish band of "Barbie Girl" fame Aqua (songs, albums, members, related etc.). Yeah, I know some people only the group because of "Barbie Girl", but there have been A LOT of other songs and albums by the group that have done internationally commercially amazing that I feel improving articles about and related to the group is necessary. - Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?
Creating a new WikiProject will allow focus to be placed specifically on improving work closely related to Aqua, rather than simply falling under the coverage of a more broad WikiProject.

edit- Comment this is a bad name. The article is called "Aqua (band)" for a reason, so the wikiproject should be WP:WikiProject Aqua (band) as aqua is ambiguous, and we already have a WP:WikiProject Water and other Aqua/Water projects abound -- 76.65.128.222 (talk) 01:30, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I think arguing that changing the name is bad because there is already Wikiproject Water is unnecessary. I don't think I've ever since a Wikiproject with a "( )", and if people who looked for Wikiproject Aqua would be really looking for Wikiproject Water, we could just let them know to go to Wikiproject Water. 和DITOREtails 17:03, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- You haven't looked too hard if you haven't seen a wikiproject with parentheses. WP:WikiProject Georgia (country) , WP:WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state) are the most obvious ones, but there are others. Clearly this shows it can be necessary, and with this case, I think it is, considering that in English, the word "aqua" is still used as a synonym for water. (look at product labels sometimes (ingredients lists), or at names of bottled water, or chemistry books/papers/etc) -- 76.65.128.222 (talk) 06:10, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
