Discussion
edit- I am pretty sure that the wikiproject council is, somewhat ironically, inactive (just look at the unresponsivness here and at the main talk page). There is nothing stoping you starting this project yourself, but I would recommend making a taskforce under WP:NZ as it is really a sub wikiproject of that one. What exactly are you hoping to aaheive with it? AIRcorn (talk) 18:49, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- @Aircorn: There are WikiProject Auckland and WikiProject New Zealand Schools, the former which is semi-active, the latter which I would strongly recommend merging into WikiProject New Zealand. In regards to your question, there is quite a lot of good work in Wellington articles, for example the mayoral elections and I think that this should be organised. A way to get more contributors to the project is to start off by making a taskforce for it then when it get's a reasonable amount of active members make a standalone project. - I still would got the taskforce route. There is not much difference in what you can achieve with article alerts, guidelines and having a central talkpage. It just means most of the infrastructure (Banners, templates etc) are already there. Just my 2c though. AIRcorn (talk) 23:25, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- Taskforce/workgroup of WP:WikiProject New Zealand. No point in a stand-alone project. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ< 22:35, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
