Discussion
editShouldn't this be a task force under the WP:WikiProject Trains ? 65.95.15.144 (talk) 06:19, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I just thought that. --Posted on 14:29 on 2 March in 2011 (UTC) by Highspeedrailguy 14:29, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- From what I read in WP:TASKFORCE, that would be more appropriate. Do we start a vote now? Tim PF (talk)
- Actually, I'm not really convinced it should be a task-force either. I think that Highspeedrailguy needs to specify a more convincing argument for it even being a WP:TRAINS task-force. Tim PF (talk) 17:19, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Likewise, I can't see any reason for this even to be a taskforce. "High speed" is an arbitrary term which varies in meaning from country to country (the US definition, a maximum speed above 110mph, would apply to most railways in Western Europe and Japan), and the only substantive difference between a railway designed for high-speed operation and any other kind is that the rails on the former have continuous-welds. Besides, every article in this project's scope would already be covered by WP:TRAINS. – iridescent 11:24, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
