- Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?
- I believe that there needs to be a more concentrated team for Prince's articles. In this large scope, most of the articles are of stub and start quality. With a project, they can be improved. I Help, When I Can.[12] 22:11, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- His scope is definitely big enough. Surprised this hasn't been created before. I'd definitely join. — Status {talkcontribs 22:16, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- He has a huge discography which would benefit from the organisation of a Wikiproject, though I won't be joining. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 22:47, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- He definitely deserves one. But i will not be joining. Jivesh • Talk2Me 04:22, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Support - no reason the editors should not be allowed to collaborated in this manner. Editors are engorged to work as a group and projects are just for that. Pls don't be deterred by those that think this projects are useless.Moxy (talk) 14:58, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose
edit- Past experience has shown that single artist WikiProjects invariably fail (unlike genre projects which maintain productive interest). See Wikipedia:WikiProject Music/Statistics. In any case two members is not nearly enough to launch a new project. I urge everyone to work on the relevant articles within existing genre projects. --Kleinzach 02:53, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- As Kleinzach said. Indeed, I'm surprised that a project focusing on an individual artist would even be proposed. There's simply no way to sustain enough persistent interest in such a project. That's assuming you get the interest to begin with; as Kleinzach noted, there's only two volunteers so far, and you need at least ten to even get this off the ground.--Martin IIIa (talk) 00:54, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
