This drive was cancelled after the coordinator became unavailable. |
This Wikipedia:WikiProject Finance & Investment Content Drive is a one-month long effort to improve articles about or related to stock exchanges. It will begin on 1 June 2022, 12:00 (UTC) and will end on 30 June 2022, 12:00 (UTC). The goals of this drive are to:
- Improve Wikipedia's coverage of stock exchanges
- Encourage editors to create content that will be useful to our readers
Drive participants can earn barnstar awards based on a points system based on the quality and number of improvements. No points will be given on this drive based on maintenance template clean-up. Information on this system and the awards one can win can be seen at the awards documentation page.
The drive is open to all editors on Wikipedia, you don't have to be a member of WikiProject Finance & Investment. While expertise and knowledge of finance is recommended, there are plenty of other ways one can help. Guidance on where to find sources can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Economics/Reliable sources and weight.
The drive's coordinator is Ixtal. If you have any questions, feel free to add a new section to the Drive's talk page.
Instructions
edit- Sign up by adding yourself to the list below. This will record a subsection of the page where you can record your edits.
- Find an article to edit. You can find them in Category:Stock exchanges and its subcategories. PetScan might allow you to find articles easier, but be aware that not all the results are under the purview of the WikiProject Finance & Investment (i.e. Idacorp, which won't be counted as part of this Drive).
- Verify no one else is editing that article. Collaboration on an article is welcome and encouraged, but if you all wish to claim the points for this Drive please discuss this in the talk page of the Drive. This helps us make sure no one is taking credit for others' work.
- Record your work. You can follow the example below on how to do so. "Rating" refers to the grade granted under the Wikipedia content assessment system, which you can find on the article's talk page. If no grade is granted or you created the article as part of this drive, just write "None". Points will be given by the drive's coordinator. If you want someone to assess the article's rating, feel free to request an assessment in Wikipedia:WikiProject Finance & Investment/Assessment.
Example user participation section:
- Article 1 - 30pts
- Original rating: B
- Improved rating: GA
