EditTaxonomy and Reference The following reference is currently the standard that is used for this Project: the taxonomy as it is laid out in the article Taxonomy of the Gastropoda (Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). This taxonomy, based partly on cladistics, is actively under revision, and will continue to be for some years. The older taxonomies (for example, that based on the work of Johannes Thiele) are outdated and are no longer suitable to use. Please do not use terminology from any previous systems of taxonomy, and please update older taxonomy as you encounter it. We are part of the great "Tree of Life" Project, so the taxonomy is very important. EditResources Other wikipedias(move them to commons):
Image resourcesWikimedia Commons has media related to Unidentified Gastropoda. These nice images are looking for a "good home" in an article about their species. Maybe you will be inspired to create an article for one or more of them?
Land gastropods, both snails and slugs:
Freshwater gastropods:Shelled marine gastropods
Various cowry shellsImages of shells of these Cypraeidae species are available at http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:Philipp66 and can be used to illustrate these articles, some of which already exist and some of which need to be started: Nudibranchs and other opisthobranch sea slugsImage resources from journals:
External image resourcesDetermine these images at flickr.com to species level and write down their names here (then I will upload determined images to commons) --Snek01 (talk) 00:27, 30 October 2008 (UTC):
