- St Pancras International station has finally opened bringing Europe closer than ever in 2hrs 15mins.
- St Pancras Thameslink also opened.
- Langdon Park station has opened on the Docklands Light Railway.
- The tube has opened later as usual for New Year's Eve and Day despite threats of strikes.
- The London Overground has started service with new benchs, station repaints and new station signs already appearing. New Trains are due later this and some parts of the East London Railway extension will be launched.
- The East London Line has closed for up to 3 years.
- Tube and bus fares have frozen for 2008.

Many of you may have noticed that our portal is slowly getting back on track with continuous updates every week. This is thanks to Simply South and Tbo who have increased advertisement of the vote feature on our main page and talk pages. I, Unisouth, have also been helping out with the news section continuously checking TfLs and other websites for the latest news.
