Weak AfD Being the highest ranking woman in a martial art of 3000 members is good, but not quite enough. I can't find third party sources--mainly memorials and tributes written after her death. These contain some statements that need sourcing--like the claim that she trained over half a million Marines in hand-to-hand combat. Another case of clearly not fluff, but I don't think quite passes WP:MANOTE. Papaursa (talk) 02:33, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have emailed the NWMAF and asked the to confirm the article claim of honors. We can look at this again in a few months. I will leave the notability tag. jmcw (talk) 13:14, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
AfD. A few of the claims made in this article seem obviously untrue (e.g., inventing the concept of submissions) or cannot be verified (e.g., claimed marriage to Kyra Gracie). That aside, I have found no reliable sources to support notability. Janggeom (talk) 10:56, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Keep Well known martial artist. Won several NASKA world titles in weapons about 20 years ago and has coached the Canadian national team. Article could use some additional references. Papaursa (talk) 02:40, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Keep I mentioned him in last week's article on Korindo aikido (which I'm going to merge into this article when I get a chance). Article could use some work, but his name keeps coming up when I search for the history of aikido. Papaursa (talk) 00:53, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
AfD Got 1 UFC fight where he was knocked out in the first 90 seconds and then didn't fight for 15 months. Doesn't seem to meet the criteria of "fully professional". Papaursa (talk) 01:47, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Weak Afd I'm not finding sources to indicate notability. Lots of passing mentions and fight results, but little coverage of the organization itself. The article is unsourced and doesn't make a case for notability (at least to me). Speedy was declined. Papaursa (talk) 17:15, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
He has several magazine articles but no inline references. I change the tag to 'need more inline citations'. jmcw (talk) 09:38, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ignore This is a Japanese video game company. Clearly not our concern. How did this wind up in the martial arts category?Papaursa (talk) 01:47, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's a good question. I don't see any category tags that might explain it, and the article doesn't have a discussion page (and hence, no project banners). Interesting. Janggeom (talk) 07:00, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Keep if sources can be found The claims of competing at several world championships would be enought to pass WP:ATH. The only problem is that the only sources I can find for this are youtube videos--clearly not a reliable source. Papaursa (talk) 01:12, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
