Articles to be translated need to meet certain requirements to make it as easy as possible to combine them into the target languages of Wikipedia. A few key points:

1. Use the cite journal, cite book, and cite web templates not cite PMID and cite DOI. The latter two are not supported in most languages
2. Use html coding / wiki markup not templates as much as possible. {{nbsp}} is often not supported while   is
3. Make sure that as much as possible images within the article are on commons rather than hosted locally
