WP Mesoamerica Article To-Do navigation: |
• New & Requested • Stub expansion • Attention & Cleanup • Improvement • Review preparation • |
This Project subpage lists the following article-related activities, as part of the current worklist:
- Stub articles in need of expansion.
- Stub expansion - instructions
These are brief and/or minimally-informative articles - so go ahead and expand them! Generally, these articles should already be tagged with {{mesoamerica-stub}}, if not it may be added (for the duration it remains a stub).
(note:if a need for a new Project-related stub is identified, it should be proposed at WP:WSS/P first. The general threshold for project-related stubs is around 30-odd potential candidates.)
Candidates for stub expansion to add to this list may also be found in Category:Mesoamerica stubs (ie those which are marked with {{Mesoamerica-stub}} ), however there will be others which are in some other likely stub category, and still others which are stubs but not marked as such. Entries are now arranged according to their importance rating, so that higher-priority stubs can be identified for processing. In particular, stubs of TOP and HIGH priority may be concentrated on first, to at least improve them to B-Class status.
When expanding, recommended practice would include observing the proposed editing guidelines and conventions, and adding the references and citations as you go along. Any particularly useful references you use could also be added to the project's references toolbox for later communal use.
Once expanded, i.e. there's now enough material to at least give a good summary of the topic to hand, the stub tag(s) in the article should be removed, and the article's entry on the expansion list below deleted. To keep the article in the pool of current in-work articles, you can then add it to the Improvement or other appropriate listing.
To assign a particular wanted or requested article some degree of priority, you can also add it to the 'expand' section on the Project's priority Tasklist template, {{WP Mesoamerica tasklist}}. The number of such entries on this template should be kept to a handful, say around 6 to 10 maximum. Remember to update the template once you're through with expanding the article.
If the lists below begins to grow too long to appear comfortably when viewed from the Activities mainpage, additional requests can be placed under the "Holding queue" section below, awaiting action.
Specific instructions for the Mesoamerica article rating and assessment scheme:
- Articles for expansion will typically have a rating of Stub-Class, which categorises them into Category:Stub-Class Mesoamerica articles. Update the rating if one has not yet been recorded by setting the {{WP Mesoamerica}} parameter, |class=Stub .
- Once expanded/cleaned up, update the class to a new quality status as appropriate.
- Set |reassess=yes if you wish to request another's opinion on the status.
The content of the list below appears on the Activities mainpage.

editIf the listing above becomes too long to be comfortably viewed on the Activities mainpage, any additional entries can be listed in this section, which will not appear on the Activities mainpage view. As the "active" listing is worked through, these can then be moved from the "holding" to the active list.
