Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Peer review/USS New Jersey (BB-62)/Archive 1
I just updated this article with inline citations and new photographs. Now I need some new eyes to look over the article and recommend any changes or updates to it. My goal, as always, is to get it feauted, so any info you can proved will help me in the long run. On a side note, I enrolled in Summer School this year, and I start on May 29th, so if I appear slow to respond here on or past that date have patients; its likely school work has me tied up :) TomStar81 (Talk) 00:24, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- You don't need inline citations in the intro if the same information is repeated somewhere in the body of the article.
- The picture in the infobox is a little blurry. If you go to DefenseLINK's image library and type "USS New Jersey" into the search box, it will bring up about 800 images of the battleship, all of which are public domain.
- It looks like some of the text comes from an official U.S. government "biography" of the ship, so some of it isn't very encyclopedic. For example, "New Jersey and her formation splashed two enemy torpedo bombers," "throwing steel against the beaches...", and "The anti-aircraft fire of New Jersey and the other screening ships proved virtually impenetrable."
- I think the references should be in alphabetical order by author name.
- The printed and web references should be listed using the references templates.
Otherwise, looks really good, well organized and illustrated, with a lot of good information. Cla68 23:55, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- All noted, and I think all have been adressed. TomStar81 (Talk) 00:08, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
