Target Pages with Search Links
editEmpty header breaks are added for readability and editability only.
Right click on a link and open it in a new tab to start a search.
- Wiki executes a search of Wikipedia -- do this first to make sure the page doesn't exist under a slightly different name or aggregation.
- Mondo is a site that publishes statistics on newspapers, and often the only publicly available source of circulation numbers and ownership. You can also go here to get a link to the paper's website.
- Loc: is a library of congress record, usually a good first stop and a valuable cite.
- Books searches Google Books.
- Nwsprs is a search of Newspapers.com for those with a subscription. Narchive is newspaper archive for those with a subscription. We know these services cost money (about $10 a month when purchasing a half year subscription) but there is nothing that comes close in this research to the coverage these two sites give. Even Lexis-Nexis doesn't come close.
- Edpub is just a search we've found tends to dig up some useful links: "editor and publisher" plus the publication name. It pulls up hits in Editor & Publisher magazine as well as a lot of old sources.
- Draft starts a draft. By starting a draft in draft space you can show that you are working on a paper -- and maybe even invite in help.
