- Bruce1ee, I don't have a chapter or page range because I'm going off of citation #2 in this source. I don't know how to find what chapter or page range the citation is referring to. Perhaps the first chapter would work? Best, Tyrone Madera (talk) 17:56, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Tyrone Madera: well I wanna make sure we figure out exactly what pages I request because I can only put in one request per book because of copyright restrictions. I've searched the text using Google Books and using HathiTrust [2] for "cueva" and got zero results. Searching Google Books for "1941" just mentions that was when the first edition of "Andes Patagónicos" came out. Given in your source the footnote does not appear at the end of the clause but after the name (e.g.,
These were discovered by Father De Agostini[1] in 1941
notThese were discovered by Father De Agostini in 1941[1]
, and given the lack of a page number in the citation, I wonder if the footnote is more "If you want to read more about this person" vs backing up that particular claim? If you can figure out what pages Chapter 1 would be I can request that. I've done some digging around to see if any other authors site this book in relation to Cueva de las Manos with more specific page numbers or to see if I could find a copy of the table of context or index anywhere but haven't come up with much, but my Spanish might not be as good as yours. I wonder if it would be useful if you emailed the lead author of that paper you cited (you can find it pretty easily in other papers she's written), to see if she has more information?

For Selective exposure theory.
I don't need the actual article, only the title - I'm just trying to clear some of the "generic title" cs1 errors. I'm pretty sure it's called "Lawsuit tracker: Donald Trump's legal battle runs into repeated dead ends", but that technically could just be the article named on the subscribe page that it redirects me to. Thanks for any help! --Xurizuri (talk) 00:52, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
- Xurizuri, I don't have direct Financial Times access, but ProQuest through WP:TWL does have it indirectly. A search for FT.com articles dated 11 Dec. 2020 by Kadhim Shubber finds only two results: "The SEC probed Epstein’s dealings after his death" and "Lawsuit tracker: Donald Trump’s legal battle runs into repeated dead ends". Given the context of the citation, I'm pretty much certain that it's the lawsuit-tracker one. (By the way, none of these sources mention selective exposure theory, so all of the information about election denialism/Hunter Biden is original research. It might be easier just to remove the content altogether.) Hope this helps. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 01:13, 2 March 2022 (UTC)

Colleagues, we need not quite a book, and not a magazine, but the following: I need clear images of a copy of one old contract ([3][4][5]). All three images are obviously scans. Well, the scans of any document should be in good quality, I would even say in excellent quality. So, from the whole agreement, I only need the text with the date of signing this agreement, because there is a difference in the old and new styles. For Romanisation du coréen: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romanisation_du_cor%C3%A9en . Basically, in old North Korean postcards from the 70's to the 90's, the romanization used is a special kind that tried to use french orthography. I have never seen this anywhere else, the french wikipedia page on romanisation of the korean language for north korea is basically a carbon copy of the english page. If anyone knows any information about this romanisation system, then this would be heavily appreciated. All I can do for the time being is try to piece the rules back together by using individual documents and perhaps expand the french wikipedia page on this topic to include the curious "francisation" of korean used by the foreign languages publishing house.
PS/Update emailing the foreign languages publishing house returns a blank (as is usual..) It seems the spelling is used at least until 2010, from the following photo: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:North_Korea_(5015250703).jpg
Notice the spelling of the green book on the left, Le dirigeant *Kim Djeung Il* This is not used on the french wikipedia page https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Jong-il
Frustratingly I even had an edit revoked by someone who thought that an alternate spelling of a city using this standard was not valid. Which it definitely is, as it is the only standard used in North Korea for decades for 100 percent of the french publications, with the exception of already standard spellings (like Pyongyang). The FLPH standard was even copied into french news from the 1970's. I am not sure what is used nowadays in north korea, as the north korean websites I looked at have electronic copies of works that use the english/revised romanization spellings of words.
A quick list of words first using the english spelling and then the FLPH french standard

Greetings! For Taytu Betul, Wube Haile Maryam and others. I would like to see pp.26-43 (Chapter The background of Taytu Betul Hayle Maryam), pp.215-217, and pp.400
Thanks, Dawit S Gondaria (talk) 19:03, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- Doing... (probably Tuesday). From what I can see, it looks like the cite above is somewhat misleading: You're asking for a (chapter in a) book, not a journal, and "Empress Taytu and Menilek II: Ethiopia, 1883-1910" shouldn't be in quotation marks - it's the title of the monograph. The resulting text from the citation template as it's used above suggests that "Empress Taytu and Menilek II: Ethiopia, 1883-1910" is contained in something titled The background of Taytu Betul Hayle Maryam, but apparently it's the other way round. Best, — Pajz (talk) 10:56, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Pajz:} I forget to replace journal with book apologies. I didn't add quotation marks in the title section, but after removing (: and ,) from the title, quotations no longer show. Dawit S Gondaria (talk) 05:24, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hm, I don't think that's how it ought to be formatted, though (don't you use the title of the monograph as title= and then the chapter title as chapter= or something like that? I'm pretty sure there's no place for work= in these types of citations). But I'm not an expert on these things ... Anyway, Dawit S Gondaria, I've sent you the pages. — Pajz (talk) 19:53, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

If you file in a request it always shows a default journal template including title=, work=, not chapter=, i usually replace cite journal with cite book when it concerns a book, but in this case forgot to do so. I have no idea whether work or chapter is the same, couldn't find the parameter on Template:Cite journal or Template:Cite book, but sticked with work= since most request are using that here. - Dawit S Gondaria, the imprint suggests this likely is just a paperback reprint of the original - and widely available - 1986 edition (ISBN 0521322375, OCLC 13123313) (note it says "second impression" rather than edition + the number of pages is exactly identical + the typesetting is, from what it appears based on the table of contents, that of the 1986 edition). Northern Ireland in the Second World War
editFor List of British corps in World War II and VI Corps (United Kingdom)
I am currently overhauling the list of British corps during the Second World War. There is a gap between the British V and VII Corps. Per our VI Corps article, there was no such corp formed. I have access to Joslen (division and brigade order of battles), which does not show any forces assigned to such a corp and has formations in N.Ireland under the command of British Troops in Northern Ireland etc. Blake's work, on p. 159 per snippet view, seems to indicate that the corps was formed. All I can see is "It should perhaps be explained that, in mid-June 1940, all forces in the United Kingdom were re-organised for home defence, that the troops in Northern Ireland were placed under G.H.Q., Home Forces, and that H.Q., VI Corps was...". Does anyone have access to this source, to see what Blake goes on to state about the corps? The National Archives holds records for the corps, and their website implies it was in existence between June and August and became British Troops in Northern Ireland. This does not align with Joslen, which implies it already existing in June 1940, so really hoping Blake provides an answer. Thanks, EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 03:36, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

Thanks, YonasJH (talk) 18:18, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- YonasJH, Google Books suggests it's merely a reprint, most likely of http://explore.bl.uk/BLVU1:LSCOP-ALL:BLL01012119124 = OCLC 729977710 (published in 1968). If you come to the same conclusion, it would be considerably more likely that your request can be fulfilled since the original volume is available from about 200 Worldcat libraries while the one corresponding to your ISBN is available from just five. The fact that ISBN 9781599070520 does not have a record at the Library of Congress despite the publisher being based in the US further lends further support to the assumption that it is not, in fact, an independent edition. — Pajz (talk) 20:57, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

November 2011 issue of Famitsu Xbox 360
editI am looking for a review of the video game Code_18, which according to Famitsu's website was printed in the November 2011 issue of Famitsu Xbox 360 (Japanese: ファミ通 Xbox360 2011年11月). Shipping costs for second-hand copies of the issue are too high for me as I live in Sweden, so I'm asking here if anyone happens to have access to a copy. For reference, this is what the cover of the issue looks like: [15].

- Resolved. Never mind, I ended up finding it through WP:Wikipedia Library. The thing is, I *always* check Wikipedia Library via the main search interface before posting here, and the info page came up, but without full text access, so I added this RX request. But then I had a brainstorm, and tried it again, but this time, I went through the Wikipedia Library partners page, chose Taylor & Francis, clicked the blue "Access Collection" button on the T&F badge, searched for the title there, and this time, found it with full text access (here). So all's well that ends well, but TWL should update their doc. Mathglot (talk) 01:56, 19 March 2022 (UTC)

@ Thanks TrangaBellam for interesting info but I am not getting the way to access it. Does ica.org needs any specific browser or setting etc?
Regards Bookku, 'Encyclopedias = expanding information & knowledge' (talk) 08:37, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
- Update: The ica.org has not worked but I have come across one Digital Library of the West Bengal Secretariat and search their lead me to one Gazette 1st April to 30th April 1969 & 1st December to 31st December 1969 But that is neither matching the title as in google books nor could I come across content words ' Rabindra Sarobar Stadium ' I am looking for. One problem with this database service is neither it allows to save document to desk top nor it provide for text search within document and finding wanted text is a cumbersome task for any single person.

For List of presidents of the Swiss Confederation
Colleagues, pages with the content of this book are urgently needed, where the presidents and pages with them would be indicated. For example: President.................1-5 page. The president pages themselves are not needed, only the pages of the book's contents. Thanks, Jolf Staler (talk) 09:10, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Jolf Staler, the table of contents, if that is what you're looking for, can be found at https://d-nb.info/1156729084/04. (In general, the German National Library provides a scan of the table of contents of every book from Germany and every German-language book from Switzerland or Austria published after 2012.) Best, — Pajz (talk) 11:08, 23 March 2022 (UTC) (On a different note, there is really no point in adding comments like "Urgent!!!" to a request on this page. As you know, requests here are handled by volunteers who do this in their spare time, and nobody is going to drop what they're doing just because another Wikipedia user claims their request is particularly urgent and uses three exclamtion marks. On the contrary, some people, me included, may not exactly be partial to being told, essentially, to get a move on in their volunteer work. (It's a different story if a resource is no longer needed after a certain point in time, in which case it's of course very helpful to indicate what that date is.) Just my two pennies' worth.)
