- Utility player Chris Woodward, who played for the Mariners in 2009, signed a Minor League contract with an invitation to spring training with the M's on January 6, 2010. Woodward, 33, hit .239 with Seattle last season before being designated for assignment and was later claimed by the Boston Red Sox off waivers.
