Wikipedia:WikiProject Textile arts/Requested pictures
This page is for requesting pictures for Wikipedia:WikiProject Textile Arts.
Requesting a picture
editIf you determine that an article within the scope of the Textile Arts WikiProject can be improved by adding a photo, diagram, historical illustration or other picture, please list your request (with or without comments) below. Please add new requests in alphabetical order.
Uploading pictures
editPlease read the Image Guidelines and be sure you understand the appropriate licensing for your picture before uploading it.
Images that are public domain or other free license (e.g. GDFL, Creative Commons) should be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. This is a shared repository for images and other media files. Images uploaded to Wikimedia Commons can easily be used here on English Wikipedia as well as by other language Wikipedias and Sister projects. Another advantage of Wikimedia Commons is its category system that helps to organize and make images easy to find. An important caveat to Wikimedia Commons is that they do not accept fair use images.
As you complete a request, please don't delete it — instead strikeout the item so we know what has been done — some of these images may be appropriate for more than one article.
