The Bowling Green Railroad is a corporation of Ohio, having its principal office at Cincinnati, Ohio.
It is controlled by the Toledo and Cincinnati through ownership of a majority of the outstanding capital stock, although that ownership is not recorded as such in the accounting records of that company. All of the capital stock of the Toledo and Cincinnati is owned by the Baltimore and Ohio. The records do not indicate that this company, itself, controls any other common-carrier corporation.
The property of the Bowling Green Railroad was operated from May 22, 1875, to October 4, 1890, by its own organization and from October 4, 1890, to July 17, 1917, by the Cincinnati, Hamilton and Dayton Railroad Company, its successor, The Cincinnati, Hamilton and Dayton Railway Company, and the receivers of the latter. It has been operated by the Baltimore and Ohio from July 18 to December 31, 1917. Since January 1, 1918, it has been operated by the United States Railroad Administration as part of the Baltimore and Ohio system.
