The Frankfort & Cincinnati Railway Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad, located in the central part of Kentucky. The owned mileage extends from Frankfort in a westerly direction to Paris, Ky., a distance of 39.668 miles. The carrier also owns and uses 6.397 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 46.065 miles of all tracks owned.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated February 27, 1897, under the general laws of the State of Kentucky, for the purpose of owning and operating a railroad from Frankfort to Paris, Ky., to build extensions to said road, and to exercise all rights, privileges, and franchises of the Kentucky Midland Railway Company.
