The railroad of the Hanover Railway Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad extending southwardly from North Hanover to Hanover, Ill., a distance of 2.501 miles. The carrier also owns and uses 0.164 mile of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 2.665 miles of all tracks owned.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated March 12, 1906, under the general laws of the State of Illinois for the purpose of constructing a line of railroad from Hanover to North Hanover, Ill. The date of its organization was April 7, 1906.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned mileage of the carrier, extending from North Hanover to Hanover, Ill., a distance of 2.501 miles, was all acquired by construction in 1907 and 1908. The records indicate that the grading was performed by B. C. Lannen, contractor.
