Location and General Description of Property

The railroad of the Morris Terminal Railway Company, herein called the Morris Terminal, is a single-track, standard-gauge, steam railroad, located at Morris, Ill., and embracing 4.029 miles of tracks, all of which are classified as other than main track.

Corporate History

The Morris Terminal was incorporated on February 10, 1905, under the laws of Illinois, for the purpose of constructing a switching railroad to be located in Grundy County, Illinois, and serve as a connection between various industries in and around Morris, Ill., and the railway of the carrier. Its principal office is at Chicago, Ill. Control of the Morris Terminal is vested in the carrier through ownership of the entire capital stock, although the property is operated separately. The owned mileage was acquired by construction. The carrier furnished all labor and material and constructed the line in 1906.
