The railroad of Nevada Copper Belt Railroad Company, hereinafter referred to as the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad, situated in the western part of the State of Nevada, extending from Thompson to Ludwig, a distance of 40.644 miles. The carrier also owns 6.592 miles of yard tracks and sidings, or a total of 47.236 miles of all tracks.


Corporate history.—The carrier was incorporated on March 22, 1909, under the general laws of the State of Maine, for the purpose of constructing and operating a railroad, the location of which was not set forth in the articles of incorporation. The carrier's principal office is at Portland, Me. Its general office is at Ludwig, Nev. Further information as to the development of the carrier's fixed physical property is given in Appendix 2.
