The railroad of the Tamaqua, Hazleton and Northern Railroad Company, herein called the Tamaqua, Hazleton and Northern, is a single-track, standard-gage, steam railroad located in the northern part of Pennsylvania. The Tamaqua, Hazleton and Northern was incorporated May 18, 1891, under the general laws of Pennsylvania. The date of organization was June 3, 1891.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The property of the Tamaqua, Hazleton and Northern was acquired by construction during the year 1891. It was completed and opened for operation on January 1, 1892.
