The railroad of The Weatherford, Mineral Wells & Northwestern Railway Company, herein called the Weatherford, Mineral Wells & Northwestern, is a single-track, standard-gage, steam railroad, located in the north-central part of Texas. The owned mileage extends in a general northwesterly direction from Weatherford to Graford, 42.667 miles. The company also owns yard and side tracks totaling 6.059 miles. Its road thus embraces 48.726 miles of all tracks owned.

Corporate history.—The Weatherford, Mineral Wells & Northwestern was incorporated under the general laws of the State of Texas on July 2, 1889, for a period of 50 years. Its stated purpose, as amended, was to construct, own, and operate a line of railway from Weatherford to Mineral Wells, approximately 25 miles; thence in a northwesterly direction to a point in Jack County ahout 15 miles from Jacksboro; thence in a northerly direction to Jacksboro; also from said point in Jack County in a northwesterly direction to and through Graham. Its principal office is located at Weatherford.

APPENDIX 2
DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The construction of that part of the road between Mineral Wells and Graford, about 18 miles, was started during January, 1907, and was completed and placed in operation in January, 1908. Except for the grading, which was done under contract, this section of the road was constructed by company forces.
