Xiphosura phylogeny
Hi, can I get Figure 4 of The phylogeny and systematics of Xiphosura (open access) coded up. I would like two versions, one with the full cladogram with major clades labelled, and a second consisting of only Limulidae. Hemiauchenia (talk) 14:07, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- Here you go. Cougroyalty (talk) 17:05, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- First the big one of all Xiphosura:
- And here is the smaller one of just Limulidae:
Hi. Could anyone produce a cladogram based on figure 10 of this paper? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1692218/pdf/QBDQDP7PA85R7RYM_353_477.pdf Thanks in advance! Borophagus (talk) 14:10, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I need the cladogram at page 76 of this thesis [1]. I got it years ago, I think that I had to make an account to access to it but I don't remember well, in case there's difficulty at accessing the document, email me and I'll attach the archive with the thesis to you. Thanks in advance. Super Ψ Dro 18:36, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

Pseudoscorpion phylogeny
Hi, Can I have the cladogram of Phylogenomic interrogation resolves the backbone of the Pseudoscorpiones tree of life coded up? direct link to relevant figure. Use "this study" taxonomy, but ignore the higher ranks that just duplicate the lower ones. Thanks. Hemiauchenia (talk) 00:47, 5 November 2021 (UTC)

- Here's a start. I have to go now, so I'll leave it here for someone else or I'll finish it later today. — Jts1882 | talk 10:34, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
- There are a few outstanding issues to deal with (I've only read the abstract):
- What do they mean by "new suborders Palaeosphyronida Harvey and Atoposphyronida Harvey for Dracochelidae and Feaelloidea, respectively"? I don't see Dracochelidae.
- I think this means that they are creating new monotypic suborders that only include Dracochelidae and Feaelloidea, respectively. Dracochelidae is the basalmost diverging extinct group. Hemiauchenia (talk) 20:05, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
- Is Garypinidae paraphyletic?
- I don't think so, I think you are confusing Garypinidae with Garypidae, which is understandably confusing. Hemiauchenia (talk) 20:05, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
- What are the missing superfamilies (A-C or possibly a split of A)?
- Should the newly circumscribed subfamilies and tribes be included.
- If you want the tree with the species, can you provide me with a simple list. — Jts1882 | talk 11:54, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
- There are a few outstanding issues to deal with (I've only read the abstract):
- Here's my version of blindly copying the chart, since I don't have access to the article :) Oh, and I wasn't sure which groupings you wanted, so I used the gray grouping labelled "This study", as well as the different colored groupings to the left of them, and used sublabels when duplicated. (I gave priority to the colored groupings on the left over the gray "This study" groupings by making the latter the sublabels.)Cougroyalty (talk) 15:57, 5 November 2021 (UTC)

@Hemiauchenia and Jts1882: Here's a further continued version of @Cougroyalty:'s exact-copied tree from the figure, with additional annotation (superfamilies bolded and historical paraphyletic groupings shown).
However, if a tree like this is to be included into an article, then I'd definitely cut down the overlapping paraphyletic brackets and I'm debating whether or not I shoud keep the family names bolded. Hiroizmeh (talk) 19:19, 5 November 2021 (UTC)

I'm really chuffed that you have gone to the effort to make 3 separate cladograms. I am not sure which one is best. I agree that having all of the history taxonomic groups dating back to the 1890's is not necessarily relevant but it might be good to include the 1992 one for reference. Moving Eustreptospondylus
While expanding Duriavenator, I noticed that the cladogram incorrectly shows Eustreptospondylus within Megalosauridae, whereas the actual cladogram it was based on (fig. 13 here[2]) actually shows it to be basal to Megalosauridae along with Streptospondylus and Spinosauridae. Can someone modify it accordingly? I believe this same cladogram has also been copied to other articles (including in Eustreptospondylus itself), which are therefore also inaccurate. FunkMonk (talk) 11:32, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
- Looks like the cladogram was based on Fig 8, where it was included. I've changed the cladogram to match Fig 13, which presumably better reflects the results of the study. — Jts1882 | talk 13:09, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks, yeah fig. 13 seems to be the "main" one in the study. FunkMonk (talk) 13:13, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
Hey, I need two cladograms for this article: one based on the phylogeny from this article and another on this. AryKun (talk) 13:04, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- Here is the genus list for the first.
- Do you need the other species? If so, I'll leave that later or for someone else.
- What exactly do you need from the second link. The cladogram is huge. — Jts1882 | talk 13:32, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- pg 417, it's about the same tree as above, but includes Plethodontohyla and Mini in Cophyla. AryKun (talk) 13:55, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- It seems quite different to me, at least in the genus circumscriptions, and don't see where Mini fits in. I've added the tree above. — Jts1882 | talk 14:43, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

This method takes a pseudo-wikitext list (using @ instead of * to stop the wiki processing). I've taken the list from French wikipedia and changed all the * for @. Perhaps a useful option would be to output the clade structure in wikitext and substitute the result. — Jts1882 | talk 08:54, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
- Now I think about it a converter already exists, although it can't be substituted and needs copy and pasting.

- Output:
* Sitta ** Sittelle superbe (S. formosa) ** *** **** Sittelle des rochers (S. tephronota) **** Sittelle de Neumayer (S. neumayer) *** **** ***** Sittelle du Cachemire (S. cashmirensis) ***** Sittelle des Naga (S. nagaensis) ***** Sittelle torchepot (S. europaea) **** Sittelle de l'Himalaya (S. himalayensis)
{{clade |label1= Sitta |1={{clade |1= Sittelle superbe (S. formosa) |label2= |2= }} }}

- I've added an option to use wikitext lists using *. They must be wrapped in nowiki tags. See example above. — Jts1882 | talk 15:58, 26 December 2021 (UTC)

- You can use Clade converter with the list copied from French wikipedia. If you substitute the template it will generate the clade code for the cladogram. The following code

- generates the clade code for the cladogram below
