Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Peer review/Rise and Fall: Civilizations at War
Hello CVG PR reviewers, and thank you for taking the time to review this article. I rewrote it based on Empires: Dawn of the Modern World, a FA written by Clyde Miller and Deckiller. I've asked them to help me out on this one too, since they are more experienced. I'm trying to get it to GA, then FA if possible, but I'd like some suggestions on how to improve it. I'd appreciate any comments or tips. Thanks again! · AndonicO Talk 22:55, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- The introduction is too short. Try to expand it by taking more relevant information from the article. Done
- The article is very well referenced, and well written in general. I'm just being picky now:
- Most RTS games use ages? Only RoN and AoE do as far as I know. Done
- Because I'm familiar with the genre, I get the outposts thing, but someone who is not, might fail to comprehend. Especially the statement that "they're protected by AI soldiers", might sound strange to people who don't see the word AI being used as a reference to any computer controlled thing daily. Done
- Link more historical names and facts in the history (uh, I mean the campaign) section, e.g: Battle of the Granicus River Done
- Reviews section needs more structure and internal links. Try to structure it from positive to negative, or per area of the game commented on. Split the fourth paragraph. Done
- In the popularity section, I'd like to see included if there are people still playing this game online today, if there is such a possibility. Done

- Okay, I fixed a couple of things; I'll do the rest later, when I have more time. Thanks for the tips! · AndonicO Talk 22:21, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Would this forum make a good reference for the online part, or would it be considered spam? · AndonicO Talk 00:54, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, I added Parmenion, Heracles, and the Siege of Tyre. Unfortunatly, I cannot remember the other battles featured in the campaign, but I'll go over it again soon (I cannot do so currently, but I'll probably be able to in about a month). · AndonicO Talk 01:58, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think that forum topic would be a good reference, but not as fact, rather as a sample taken at random, to show that no one is playing this online. --User:Krator (t c) 12:30, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- Alright then, I'll add that in, along with a multiplayer part in the "Gameplay" section. Unfortunatly, I lent my copy of the game to a friend, and I don't expect it back in a few weeks, so the multiplayer part will have to wait (along with an expansion of the Alexander the Great campaign). I'll keep it in mind though. · AndonicO Talk 22:28, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'm done with the multiplayer/popularity. · AO Talk 12:38, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
