editThis article needs cutting down in size. Some subsections need to be merged so that the table of contents is cut down. A few more refs need to be added. With that, the article could be a good candidate for Featured Article - now that would be a great accolade for the WikiProject. - Erebus555 13:07, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

- Pontificake 22:38, 10 March 2007 (UTC) Given the large number of sub articles I think there is quite a bit that could be removed. As a start the climate table is not terribly useful. But apart from that I think it is a pretty good article.
- Matthew 12:36, 11 March 2007 (UTC) Agreed that there's information that could be cut, and that the climate table would be no great loss to the main Birmingham article when it could easily be summarised in a few words. Work on the daughter articles with regard to any content removed from the main article should also form part of this proposal.

This article is presently of very poor quality. As it is one of the largest towns in the West Midlands and the largest in Sandwell, this needs some urgent attention. I think this should have priority over Birmingham for the time being. G-Man * 22:01, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

- Erebus555 13:58, 21 March 2007 (UTC) - I think this really does need some work and it is quite behind in terms of quality compared to other articles on towns of such size in the West Midlands.
- Matthew 18:38, 21 March 2007 (UTC) Agreed - though it's in better state than Dudley was before we started there!
