The course covers a range of digital media, with a common emphasis on digital literacy as well as questions of equity, access, and inclusion.
For this ongoing Wikipedia editing project, learning objectives include distinguishing among primary, secondary, and tertiary sources; thinking critically about information so as to identify which sources are reliable and verifiable; becoming more attentive to bias in choice of subject matter for articles as well as in sources of information; and gaining awareness of how, and by whom, knowledge is constructed with a view towards redressing inequities.
