Course Objectives • Obtain working knowledge of GAAP as applied to Owners’ and Stockholders’ Equity • Obtain working knowledge of GAAP as applied to special financial accounting problems associated with investments, revenues, income taxes, pensions, leases, accounting changes and prior period adjustments • Obtain working knowledge of formal and content of statement of cash flows per GAAP.
The Wiki project is going to assign students to work on a recent accounting principle and inform the financial statement users about the accounting principle and how will it affect their investment decisions
