This course works to deepen attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and communication strategies. Whether informing a business partner, persuading a client, or promoting goodwill to a competitor, the business world is saturated with writing and communication. As such, it is important to be a critical and thoughtful communicator. We will strive to deepen our skills in business writing genres, and we will critically consider how and why genre, grammar, communication, audience, etc. matter for business writing. While engaging in thoughtful learning and discussion, we will also build practical skills and abilities such as crafting a resume, writing a professional email, and building a professional digital profile.
