This course travels the world by language family, exploring the phenomenon of human language through individual languages. Students will discover how little is known about many of the world's 7000+ language by re-writing one their weekly language reports to contribute basic information about a language where none or only an underdeveloped Wikipedia article exists. This course is semi-self-paced

You may choose a language report you have already written, or look ahead to a new week, or choose a completely different language. The "cannot repeat languages" rule does not apply . This language may be one that another student has reported on during the semester.
