Timeline
Week 1

- Tuesday, 24 January 2017 | Thursday, 26 January 2017
- Assignment - What is Digital Rhetoric?
Our first goal in this course is to understand what we mean when we use the term digital rhetoric. Before using Wikipedia, review the three (3) training modules attached here.
After completing the training modules, review the Wikipedia article "Digital Rhetoric", then find two (2) more articles in Wikipedia that connect to digital rhetoric. This will give you a total of 3 articles to evaluate. Be prepared to discuss the articles you read during our 1-26 class meeting (we did this).
In Week 2, you will write a response evaluating the articles, using the criteria in the Evaluating Articles and Sources module.
As you read, notice the ways in which digital rhetoric is defined and used. At the end of this exercise (in Week 2), you will be asked to post your own definition of digital rhetoric to Blackboard (we will also share and discuss during our 02-09 class meeting.)

- Assignment - Defining Digital Rhetoric
1. After completing the activities in Week 1 (and no later than end-of-day 2-09), write a response that critiques whether or not the articles you selected meet Wikipedia's evaluation guidelines and post it to our class wiki. (You may wish to include in your evaluation some exploration of whether any of the content should be flagged for plagiarism - see the Plagiarism module below.) Post your response in our class wiki at wikispaces.com/
2. Before coming to class on February 9, write a 250 - 300 word response to the question: "What is Digital Rhetoric?" We will read and discuss the responses in class. Post your responses to the assignment I set up in Blackboard.
