This is an example of a simple Talk page for an article. (User talk pages work basically the same way.) There are a couple things to note:
- At the top, there are a couple of templates. These are used to keep track of data about articles, such as which "WikiProjects" the article belongs to and what rating it has received on Wikipedia's quality scale.
- Below the templates is a discussion topic. It consists of a header indicating the topic ("Hello"), followed by a message from another editor, followed by a username and a timestamp — a signature, indicating who made the comment.
