A spiritual predecessor

At User talk:Spicy/Archive 6#Passing the baton, Girth Summit documented the baton's short-lived spiritual predecessor: as the outgoing 'newest admin', he congratulated ToBeFree at Special:Permalink/925554294#(Slightly early) congratulations!, who then passed the New Admin Torch to EvergreenFir (Special:Permalink/926376574#Congratulations). Images

As the images are presumably not fair use, I think it might be nice if the baton images were also added to the template.

Admin baton and elections

Hi, all! Given that I am the current holder of the baton, I was wondering what the community process may be for passing the baton with elections where multiple people may become admins at once. In my opinion, pass it to the first person who's sysopped in the log, and they pass it to the next, etc. You'd have a few people with a very short baton tenure, yes, but it seems like the best way and most loyal to the idea. It's probably what we'd do if we had two successful RfAs under the current system that closed at the same time. Elli (talk | contribs) 15:15, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

I also endorse it, it definitely makes the most sense. The time the person has the baton doesn't really matter, but I'd HOPE the recipients pass it off to the next person within 24 hours to keep it going. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:58, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
