Defending interests and BLP
editThere's stuff buried all the way at the bottom of the page saying it's OK to remove defamatory material even if you have a COI. That probably needs to be much more prominent. We aren't asking people to suffer slander while they wait for someone to notice a requested edit template.
The other thing that occurs to me in the "advice for editors with a COI" section is that people coming in with no experience aren't going to know what edits might be "potentially controversial" and which aren't, without wading through reams of policy. Gigs (talk) 01:56, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
- I think my recent edits have addressed most of these concerns. Gigs (talk) 04:05, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Examples/Common cases/Paid
editStarted first hit at this area. Needs plenty more attention. If the FIXMEs are still there when you encounter this, please feel free to work on it roughly according to the definitions at the top of this page. Gigs (talk) 14:08, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
- I think it's to an acceptable level now, but I'm sure it could be improved in the future. Gigs (talk) 17:49, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
