html element 'input' placeholder correction

• What I think should be changed:

the input box has hardcoded "Page Name" data/content instead of html placeholder

• Why it should be changed:

Hardcoded data remains into input text box upon focus and requires deletion before using as intended...

"Page Name" shouldn't be inside the 'value=' parameter but in 'placeholder=' as follows:

<input name="title" class="mw-inputbox-input mw-ui-input mw-ui-input-inline mw-inputbox-createbox" value="" placeholder="Page Name" required="" size="50" dir="ltr"/>

Note: i understand maybe this is misplaced and should be in some template somehow but please forgive my ignorance and before taking negative actions against this, have the decency to add positive input to this. Thank you

Well, this hasn't been resolved yet and i think it's relevant and important for html standards...

Make this work for other namespaces

I genuinely have no idea how this wizard works, but if somebody can make this with namespaces other than Main, that would be great.

For example, if I type Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard into the text box, it redirects me to the invalid Talk:Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard, when instead it should redirect to Wikipedia talk:Edit Request Wizard.

Looking at mw:Extension:InputBox, it appears that it is not possible to use an InputBox to modify the input before submitting the form. The 'prefix=' param is used, but it proves insufficient for non-mainspace pages. Sungodtemple (talk • contribs) 22:39, 26 May 2023 (UTC)

Ambiguous instructions regarding pages that are "sparsely edited" Reply Suggestion

The large edit request sections asks prospective user to only use the feature "for pages that are sparsely edited". This is somewhat ambiguous, even to an experienced editor. What alternatives should someone be redirected to if a page isn't "sparsely edited" (and what is the reasoning for this provision)? WhinyTheYounger ※ Talk 13:15, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
