The Netherlands
editDoes anyone know why so many of the edits on each project are from the Netherlands? The numbers are way too high to be from immigration alone. Do they run a lot of bots or something? -Oreo Priest talk 15:11, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- The toolserver, which many bots run on, was hosted by Kennisnet in Amsterdam. the wub "?!" 13:12, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
- Great. This makes it very hard for me to believe that anything useful can be concluded from reading this statistics. I am considering nominating the page for deletion as it is misleading (probably also for other reasons). Any contra-arguments? User:Nillerdk (talk) 20:06, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- Still better than nothing. I'd like to see it stay. -Oreo Priest talk 02:01, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- I also think that it is a bad idea to delete the page. Instead, we should better update it. --Frakturfreund (talk) 21:54, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- It would be interesting if it was possible to remove bots from the statistics. Is it? Pikolas (talk) 22:41, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

editStats for MENA and AR wiki
editI'm trying to find up-to-date statistics for MENA and AR Wiki. Specifically, I'm looking for the number of edits coming from each MENA country to the AR Wikipedia. Any help?--Reem Al-Kashif (talk) 14:43, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hello and thanks for mentioning this question on my talk page too. I am afraid that this article is unmaintained for several years and I have no clue to update it up. I don't know sources these statistics come from. I also overlooked this page today and did not find Arabic language at all. That is very strange. Arabic is one of the TOP 10 world languages. Issues in this article should be raised to help attract more edits and updating, but not sure where to go. It should be probably Wikipedia:Village_pump or elsewhere.
- As for MENA countries, I suppose that at least 98% of contributors to Arabic Wikipedia is from those countries. The 2%, maybe more, would be from rest of the world. It would be certainly very interesting to know from which countries the most Wikipedia's editors/contributors originates, and this article should inform about it. Sadly is not so right now.
Update
editWhat about upadating info? It is very interesting A1 (talk) 10:08, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
