All fixed. The dates that go YYYY-MM-DD are access dates to material available on the Web. The occasional other date is when it is part of a journal citation as an integral part of the given citation.Fainites barleyscribs 08:38, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yay! Wave two nitpicks (I read from the bottom of the Further Reading upwards, so this might seem "backwards" :) Please don't get down hearted, some of these are questions, some of these are "correct name, or name as published" issues, and in general: WOW, so many citations and at such a high quality. Is "Attachment and the perils of parenting: A commentary and a critique. London: National Family and Parenting Institute. 2006. ISBN 9781903615423." an edited collection, or is it corporate authored by the publisher?
Fixed author field. F.
(Glad you got this one right, very tricky, "van IJzendoorn M" !)
Are you perhaps missing the chapter title here, "Berlin LJ, Zeanah CH, Lieberman AF (2008). Cassidy J, Shaver PR. ed. Handbook of Attachment: Theory, Research and Clinical Applications. New York and London: Guilford Press. pp. 745–761. ISBN 9781593858742."
Fixed title field.F.
Oops, are you sure that isn't van IJzendoorn in this citation, "Vaughn BE, Bost KK, Van Ijzendoorn MH (2008). "Attachment and Temperament". in Cassidy J, Shaver PR."  ; Also at "Van Ijzendoorn MH, Sagi-Schwartz A (2008). "Cross-Cultural Patterns of Attachment; "
Fixed IJz's. F.
Is this Volume 25 October, or is it Volume 25, issue 4: October? " Skuse D (1984). "Extreme deprivation in early childhood--II. Theoretical issues and a comparative review". Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry 25, Oct (4): "
Fixed date as per citation at Eric. F.
Is September a date, or is it an issue name? (there's also a November, and a December, and a Jan/February, and a February, and a August out there somewhere) Waters HS, Waters E (September 2006).
Well the citations include a month so I put it in and this how it comes out! I assume it's a necessary part. Do you mean, if it's an issue name, put it under issue, but if it's a volume name, put it under volume? F.
I should also say that all the journals with PMID numbers are done using Diberri so this system is built into the Diberri template I suppose. F.
Weird. month= is a very bibtex thing. Though in wiki month= is a date and issue= is for named issue numbers. For example, a Journal that publishes monthly could be dated June 2008, but a journal that publishes erratically or quarterly, and merely names issue 3 "June" should be issue=3: June. For example this stripped down cite: Waters HS, Waters E (2006). "The attachment working models concept". Attachment and Human Development. 8 (3). {{cite journal}}: Unknown parameter |month= ignored (help){{citejournal|author = Waters HS, Waters E|title = The attachment working models concept|journal = Attachment and Human Development|volume = 8|issue = 3|year = 2006|month = September}} (fields removed for clarity) should probably be Waters HS, Waters E (2006). "The attachment working models concept". Attachment and Human Development. 8 (3: September).{{citejournal|author = Waters HS, Waters E|title = The attachment working models concept|journal = Attachment and Human Development|volume = 8|issue = 3: September|year = 2006}} if the month is part of the issue's name, rather than an actual date on the journal. I agree it doesn't really look right as it is. I'll have to look them up and adjust accordingly. F.
At PubMed they all look like this "2000 Feb;78(2):350-65." Fainites barleyscribs 20:47, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
If PubMed is treating them as dates (as that looks like), I'd keep them as is. Jan/February is a bloody weird date, but there we go. Fifelfoo (talk) 20:54, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Are these Vans really Vans or should they be vans? Also, IJ again, " Van der Horst FCP, Van der Veer R, Van Ijzendoorn MH (2007). "John Bowlby and ethology:"
More Vans? "Van der Horst FCP, LeRoy HA, Van der Veer R (2008). "“When strangers meet”:"
Yup. All Big Vans. F.
Actually no. They come up big if you google an get their university profiles, but if you look in the refence sections in scholarly works they're all small. I've gone with the books and reduced them all. F.
Nice that you correctly cited the Preface, but was the work edited by a non-corporate author, or the Preface authored by an individual? ""Preface". Deprivation of Maternal Care: A Reassessment of its Effects. Public Health Papers. Geneva: World Health Organization. 1962."
I have the original and it does not say who authored it so it's the sort of corporate WHO thing I suppose. F.
That's correct, if the text is corporate authored, and the preface isn't otherwise attributed, then the author is the work's author. So yay. Fifelfoo (talk) 20:32, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Spaces required after the colons in this citation? Main M (1999). "Epilogue:Attachment Theory:Eighteen Points with Suggestions for Future Studies". in Cassidy J, Shaver PR.
Done. F.
WHEW! What a well referenced psychology article you have. After we discuss the above points, and any that should be corrected are, I'll be so glad to Support on a 2c basis! Fifelfoo (talk) 09:50, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Anecdote

edit

A psychiatrist friend told me of a Bowlby seminar he attended in the 1980s. He assumed, before he got to the seminar, that Bowlby would exude a benevolent glow and form easy connections with everyone, given his writings on the subject. It turned out though that Bowlby was quite aggressive in making the point that attachment was important. He wanted the participants to get the concept right and in making sure that they did, he wasn't afraid to be firm with them. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 12:12, 27 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
