Wikipedia talk:Featured article candidates/Tiny Thompson
Latest comment: 15 years ago by Maxim
I wanted to make some extra notes (and credits) on the article (mostly WIAFA stuff), but I realised I'd flood the main page with them.
- 1a:Risker copyedited the article some time ago, but I've major edits to it since.
- 1b: I've done my best to find everything I could on Thompson, and with some help from Resolute, I even have some personal life stuff on Thompson, which was one of the factor that pushed me into doing this FAC nom.
- 1c: It's mostly sourced to a book about 50 greatest goaltenders, the Hockey Hall of Fame website, and some statistics. I've done my best to use the most reliable sources, but don't hesitate to ask me justify a source's reliability.
- 3: I'm sure I used more time trying to procure a free image than researching the content and writing. At one point, I had thought I had found a free image, but it was a drawing so it did not fall under Public Domain in Canada since it was not specifically a photograph made before 1949. I have used a fair use image to help explain the Playing Style section. For more detail on the image, see its [[Image:Tiny Thompson.jpg|description page.
- Other criteria: For criteria 1d—e, 2a—c, and 4, I have nothing particular to say about it.
- Miscellanea: This article has appeared as a DYK, is a Good Article, and has been peer review (I closed the PR before starting the FAC).
I welcome your input on the main FAC page. Maxim(talk) 02:43, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
