Who is working on what articlesedit
WatchlisteditContributors: When you are working on an article, you may wish to add it to your watchlist. You can do this by going to the article, then clicking the little star near the top of the screen next to the "view history" tab. The star will turn blue, and this will add the article and its Talk page to your watchlist. Then, whenever anyone works on the article, you will get a notification on your watchlist. You can see your watchlist by clicking the word "Watchlist" at the very top of your screen towards the right side. You can remove something from your watchlist simply by clicking the blue star, which will then no longer show up as blue. -- Ssilvers (talk) 22:24, 13 March 2014 (UTC) Image Wishlist for Wikimedia Commonsedit
Some edits today beg a word of advice: Beware of blue-linking too much. We don't want to blue-link terms that are well undersood, because you don't want people to click away from your article to find out stuff that they already know. For instance, do not blue link Las Vegas (in English Wikipedia) or modernism, unless you are using the term in a very technical sense that is important to understanding the paragraph. Nearly every English speaker knows where the former is (or doesn't care), and has a good idea what the latter is. On the other hand, by all means do link Post-Impressionism if you want readers to know that you are talking about that particular French school. -- Ssilvers (talk) 00:13, 4 July 2014 (UTC) |
