Status contested

edit

This page is certainly not an official policy, you cannot bind users with specific styles. I would tag it as a style guideline, but I can't see any discussion. How has this page been adopted and gained its policy status? CG 10:16, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I agree. The tag was added by User:Megaman Zero on June 2. THe page is neither a policy nor a guideline. More of a collations of colors used in a standard way for infoboxes. Circeus 17:10, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
But are these color indications followed? If not, I'm thinking about deleting this page. CG 18:41, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
They're not, and haven't been for at least a year (and likely more); some of these infoboxes don't even exist anymore. In my experience, it's best to leave this sort of thing to the responsible WikiProjects rather than trying to write up some sort of all-encompassing Grand Unified Theory of Infobox Colors. Kirill Lokshin 18:52, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
As I point out above, colors where added when infoboxes were created, not the other way around, but the page did not follow along with the rest. It gives an idea of which colors are used were, but that's it. It, and {{Infobox colours}} should probably go to WP:MFD. Circeus 19:49, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
It appears as if {{Infobox colours}} is non-exsistant. What was the purpose of this template..? -ZeroTalk 19:52, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Typo, should be {{Infobox colors}}, see table above. Circeus 22:06, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yup. Mark as rejected, or, preferably, delete. --HughCharlesParker (talk - contribs) 20:31, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Third time I say this: It was never meant to be a policy in the firstplace, AFAICT. User:Megaman Zero's adding of the policy template was mistaken. It was never meant as more than a list of used colours for infobox. Circeus 22:06, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
