I'd like to come. How does one sign up? (I'll need a ride, too) R. metadatadoc AT gmail DOT com Thx.
- Just sign your name at Wikipedia:Meetup/DC 20#Sign up and let us know what area you are coming from to see if someone can pick you up. You might want to subscribe to the DC-area Wikimedians' mailing list, too. Dominic·t 20:57, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
requesting files to digitize
editHow does one go about requesting files to be digitized, should I email someone? post them here? and if so how? is the link enough, or the title is under? mijotoba (talk) 01:24, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry I missed this before. You can search the catalog at http://research.archives.gov/search for items that look interesting but do not yet have digital files. Please post any ideas under Wikipedia:Meetup/DC 20#Items for scanning. As long as you give the ARC ID, we will be able to find the catalog record. Dominic·t 19:12, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Meetup numbering
editThis one is #20, |the previous one #21? What's going on? -- BRG (talk) 18:43, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- I think it's because the 21 was announced after 20 was announced. --CutOffTies (talk) 18:45, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- (ec) I think we may have just inadvertently codified a numbering system, in that numbering is set in the order in which the meetups are announced, not the order that they happen in. 20 was announced before 21, but 21 actually happened first. SchuminWeb (Talk) 18:46, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Location
editI realize there's an address, but is it going to be easy to find everyone in the building? Also is where to park for the address obvious? --CutOffTies (talk) 18:50, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- The parking is easy once you get here; it's a large building on its own campus with a parking garage on the right as you drive in. I have added some more details in the section labeled "Once you get here". Dominic·t 19:10, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you! --CutOffTies (talk) 19:15, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
