Make this the main NYC event?
editIf people prefer, I can move this to Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC for now, which would maybe give it a bit more visibility, and have the picnic at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Wiknic.--Pharos (talk) 18:50, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, I tried to do that. In June the major community meetup is the pride thing, and in July, it will be the Wiknic. When is the Wikimedia NYC annual meeting? Is that at the Wiknic? Blue Rasberry (talk) 19:15, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
Thanks, Richard. Perhaps just move back to Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Wiki Loves Pride 2014 once the event has finished, to preserve the redirect? For example, I am using the link Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for the main Wikipedia meetup calendar. --Another Believer (Talk) 22:51, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, that's the idea, to have it here for high visibility for now, then move it back to the specific event name once it is over.--Pharos (talk) 00:03, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
Ah! Sorry, I tried moving the page back to "Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Wiki Loves Pride 2014" and managed to include Wikipedia in the title, twice. Now I need an admin to move the page over the redirect. This what what I get for trying to help! :) --Another Believer (Talk) 17:55, 23 June 2014 (UTC)
- Done or at least I think so? Hopefully that's what you wanted! — MusikAnimal talk 18:39, 23 June 2014 (UTC)
Timestamps on announcements, please!
editI do appreciate getting the announcements for these events on my user talk page; however, the fact that their signatures lack timestamps, breaks the page's auto-archiving. I asked over on Meta whether the problem is with the software, but they said it's not. Could we please make sure that future announcements have timestamps please? Thanks! —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 16:58, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, my apologies! I thought there was a limitation of the software that prevented timestamps in massmessages, but I was wrong.--Pharos (talk) 17:47, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
