Agenda?

Would there be any sort of Wikipedia-based purpose for the meeting, or would it be purely social? There's nothing wrong at all with it being purely a social gathering, but many Wikipedians use meetups to talk about Wikipedia items, such as local articles or topics that need particular attention, or trying to recruit new editors from local universities, etc.. I am open to anything personally --Admrb♉ltz (talk) 20:30, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
I don't generally work on Utah articles, but I have on occasion. I'm open to it just being a, "Hey, it's nice to meet someone else who works on Wikipedia." meeting, though I'm sure we'll end up talking about various things on WIkipedia anyway. :) ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 04:01, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
We'd love to have a Utah representative join the Wikimedians Active in Local Regions of the United States (WALRUS) committee to help advance real-life Wikimedian activities in the US.
Maybe a Wikipedia:Wikipedia Takes Your City or Wikipedia:Workshop is in your area's future!
It would also be great to have all wiki-Utahans to join discussions at wikimediaus-l.--Pharos (talk) 20:32, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

I support this idea

I like the idea of Utah wikipedians to have regular meeting. Please let me know. Adrian Comollo (talk) 15:40, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Join Wikipedia Loves Libraries with a local wiki-event in October!

With the recent experience of the Great American Wiknic in June, we'd like to invite you to join the exciting sequel: Wikipedia Loves Libraries. Please add your ideas for a local librarycentric wiki-event to the national page :)--Pharos (talk) 01:57, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

2018 meetup

Anyone up for a meetup when the smoke clears and we can breathe again? Pinging everyone on the list above (feel free to ping anyone else who may be interested):

@Admrboltz, AmericanKnight, Taivo, Useight's Public Sock, Maxyman101, GreenGlass1972, Ray Winn, CKStark, Cortina2, The Utahraptor, Cool Hand Luke, GeekX, Scottmas, Acumm12715, Qfl247, Persaius, Zul32, Scg411, Robert Horning, FallingGravity, Rachel Helps (BYU), Davehi1, Argyleist, Adrian Comollo, Tyrocker, and Tubaclarinet.

Meeting somewhere in the Salt Lake Valley seems to be best for most people as that's somewhat central. Thoughts on where? Please ping me (or anyone else) when replying to make sure we see the replies. I have over 17k pages on my watchlist.   ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 23:53, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

@Nihonjoe: I'm up for meeting if other users are interested. Rachel Helps (BYU) (talk) 14:55, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
Sure, I'd be happy to meetup if the travel isn't too far away. Oh, also - I noticed someone here creating this meetup article put Layton, UT as my location - I'm just curious, where did that info come from? I've since moved to Kaysville. Anyway, I'd be happy to meetup somewhere between Ogden and Salt Lake City. Zul32 (talk)
Actually, Zul32, you posted that yourself. Ntsimp (talk) 17:00, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
