Disambiguating places using commas or parentheses
See Talk:Hatting, Denmark#Requested move for a relevant discussion. -- Necrothesp (talk) 17:05, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
Park Square
The Park Square disambiguation page lists four places disambiguated with a comma (Sheffield, Leeds, London and Rhode Island) and one with parentheses (Boston). This looks decidedly odd, but I don't know whether they are all named correctly or if not whether the commas or parentheses are correct? Thryduulf (talk) 21:06, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
- Talk:Adamsville (Atlanta)#Proposed move and Talk:Georgetown (Washington, D.C.)#Proposed move is the relevant discussion for background into the comma/parenthesis debate. As for Park Square, Rhode Island, it should either be Park Square, Providence County, Rhode Island or Park Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 23:24, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
Is "d" capitalized in the name of a dam?
Is Malpasset dam a dam at a place named Malpsasset ("Malpasset" is the place the non-proper-named "dam" exists) or is Malpasset Dam therefore the formal name of it? Is there a standard guideline, or do we look for consensus among external sources? DMacks (talk) 17:41, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
