No soliciting WHAT
editNo soliciting is too general a title, as I think solicitation of additional editors has broad approval. The essay is actually against meatpuppets. Maybe "No meatpuppets" or "No clique solicitation" would be better terms. -- SEWilco (talk) 18:08, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed. The title is WAY too vague. Bstone (talk) 19:11, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
Nutshell
editSays not tell solicit friends or family to help you. What if they are already very interest in the topics and have professional credentials in the areas? Perhaps they have done editing on the topics before or are already experienced wikipedia editors? This nutshell is all wrong. Sorry, but away it must go. Bstone (talk) 22:08, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
They are correct
editThis is a clique. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve encountered self-righteousness from another user or had someone undo my posts or edits that have nothing wrong with them. I’ve encountered many instances of posting wars. Many of these people that appear to live on here without getting paid get a bit mouthy and insulting, tend to have a cavalier attitude, and think they are more intelligent than the person they’re waging war with.
