This has potential, but it's still a stub, and the people involved are mostly redlinks. Maybe in future. -- PFHLai 02:54, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- "Chernobyl accident" should now be "Chernobyl disaster" as per the page move, an admin should fix this today if they have the chance. --Matthew 05:15, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- Sure. Fixed that already on "tomorrow's" Sel. Anniv. template. Thanks for pointing this out. -- PFHLai 18:43, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Request: 2014
editI don't know if it's too late to be added, but today is the 40th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution in Portugal, which toppled the nearly 50-year old "Estado Novo" dictatorship and set in motion the independence of Angola, Mozambique, etc. A significant marker. Walrasiad (talk) 15:58, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
- Carnation Revolution has a big orange maintenance box on the very top, and per the rules, cannot be included. —howcheng {chat} 16:07, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

- Addendum: Thornton Affair removed for Main Page balance. —howcheng {chat} 15:51, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Howcheng: Since you seem to be maintaining this... would it be controversial to remove Red Hat Society Day? Yes, I realize that membership is not "based solely on how important or significant their subjects are," but this is seriously obscure. There is a mighty one line in the linked article: "The official Red Hat Society day is April 25 each year.[14]" Nothing about commemoration, any indication people celebrate it, why they picked that day, nothing. Doesn't seem like other random social clubs should get on OTD by simply decreeing a day to be their "society day." SnowFire (talk) 23:59, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
- Hmm, I guess I never really read that article. Its inclusion predates me and I just kept it in because of inertia. It does seem rather obscure and unworthy of inclusion. —howcheng {chat} 21:29, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
