It says here that Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953 was the first to be televised. Surely that depends on what part of the occasion was being shown? I know that the cameras weren't in Westminster Abbey for George VI's actual coronation in 1937, but the journey to/from the abbey in the state coach was shown on the BBC television service, which started in 1936. Malformated backformation
editThe word "coronated" on the reference to HM Queen Elizabeth II should be "crowned"; the former is a non-existent back-formation.
