Howcheng, I remember that Éamon de Valera and the Hanafi Siege weren't included in OTD when I looked at the Main Page this morning and I don't see a discussion in the history of WP:ERRORS that explains the subsequent insertion of these anniversaries. May I ask what happened? --Dyspeptic skeptic (talk) 23:15, 9 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
These two diffs should explain it: [1], [2]. howcheng {chat} 04:40, 10 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
HowchengFirst of all, I really appreciate everything you do for wp:OTD. I nominated Birth of Fatimah al-Zahra, as Mother's day in Iran for 9 March. At this day Iranians celebrate the birth of Fatimah and get gifts for their mother and wives. In addition to the honor of mother's day, it is a holiday! Regards. Saff V. (talk) 08:27, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Saff V.: [3] says 20 Jumada al-Thani is 8 March. howcheng {chat} 16:56, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Yes, It happens because of the difference between Iran's calendar and other. but I nominated the birth as observance because in Iran this day is mother's day. So in Iran 20, Jumada al-Thani is 9 March (source). With this description what is your opinion? Regards! Saff V. (talk) 06:31, 28 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Black Kite and The Rambling Man: I was astonished to see the "Mother's day in Iran" removed from the main page. @Black Kite: I don't think it was that difficult to verify that 9 March 2018 was observed as the 'Mother's day' in Iran? Even if you couldn't verify the birth of Fatimah, you had to be more careful about the 'Mother's day' in Iranian calendar. Can you distinguish the difference? Regards. Saff V. (talk) 07:34, 12 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ok, thanks for your ping, I don't know what you expect from me, but cheers! The Rambling Man (talk) 07:53, 12 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
