Format

Hello Nnadigoodluck, before the contest really begins I wanted to bring up issues from previous contests:

1. Could editors add candidates to boxes if they received over 5% of the vote or simply the runner-up if only one candidate received over 5%? This is customary on other election pages and it simply doesn't make sense to only show the top two, especially in constituencies where the top two didn't obtain a high percent of the vote. What information do we give if candidates with 32% and 28% are the only ones shown, what happened to the other 40%? The info is available in on the INEC result pages and could be easily added to a write-up.
2. As SuperSwift noted in October, it is unfair that points are allocated regardless of article quality. I think pages shouldn’t be allowed to count towards one's total if they don't include the number of votes, candidate names, and percentages for those elections available on the INEC website. For elections that are not on the INEC website, it is more difficult but but it's not fair to allocate the same amount of points for the well-detailed 2019 Ogun House page as the 2019 Rivers House page which doesn't even have textboxes or most names.
3. As these are elections pages for entire legislatures, election infoboxes should replace the "Overview" section in NASS election pages. I hope these issues are addressed Watercheetah99 because most contest organisers don't care about quality because it would pose a lot of work on them for scoring. They normally apply for grants and have a target number of articles. Once that target is met, then their goal is achieved. I say this cos I have been a jury for many contests in the Nigerian community, as well as the global Afrocine project. It takes a whole lot of work to determine quality. For this reason, many volunteer reviewers are given the task of making sure quality is attained. That would be the only way for this to work. Proper Scoring System

I think you should revise the rules for this contest. The house of reps contest rules were not clear. People with bad articles ended up winning because they used numerous irrelevant references. They didn't even stick to the sample given. That should be addressed. SuperSwift (talk) 20:37, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

Articles that do not follow the rules

Hello Nnadigoodluck, it is clear that recent articles written by Ife Nligwe do not follow the sample format at all and just have a sentence instead of a result box. If nothing is done to rectify this issue then this contest will end like the others, with users that followed the rules losing to those that put no effort into their articles (and I mean absolutely no effort, every single result in the 2019 Zamfara State House of Assembly election page is wrong).
