Although known as a former milling village, agriculture has, and continues to play, an economic role for Neilston.
The above sentence is grammatically unpleasant. I fixed it in the article to read: "Although Neilston is known as a former milling village, agriculture has played, and continues to play, an economic role." This remedies the incomplete construction in the latter half ("agriculture has...") as well as the unclear subject-verb agreement (the first bit seems to say "Although [agriculture is] known as a former milling village..."). – Scartol • Tok 12:26, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
